Prayer LEtter

Dear Brothers in Christ,

We would like to begin this letter praising and exalting our God for His wonderful
Grace with which He saved us and for which we are eternally grateful. Isaiah 12:2-5
says, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord
JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore
with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Sing unto the Lord; for He
hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.” Salvation produces a song of
praise and joy and that is what we are experiencing after having prayed for Bilal, a
student in the 5th grade class where my wife, Becky, is teaching in the Baptist Christian
School and where my son, Ricky, is also helping. In fact, it was the boy himself that
searched for my son to explain to him how to receive Christ as his Savior. On Monday,
the 2nd of April, the Good Shepherd brought another sheep into His fold. Pray for Bilal
and also for his older brother, Hamsa, who had already received Christ as his personal
Savior. My son, Ricky, also had the privilege of leading him to the feet of Christ.
These two boys have a father that is a Muslim; therefore, we emphasize even more your
prayers.

We want to thank our Lord for the opportunity that He gave me to preach at Wild
Peach Baptist Church. We had a great time of fellowship with the pastor, Bro. Brandon
Graham. It was a time of great blessing to be able to see how the Lord is blessing these
brethren. We thank God for the offering we received.
We also thank the Lord for being able to share the precious Word with the brothers
of the Alpha and Omega Baptist Church, whose pastor is my son-in-law, Jonathan
Norambuena. He is doing a great job and we pray that the church will continue to grow
in numbers, but above all, spiritually. Thank you for allowing me to pass time with
you.

I can’t leave off thanking the Lord for the good time that we had participating in the
anniversary of the Ark of the Covenant Baptist Church. It was a privilege to preach for
three days. On Sunday, we commissioned Bro. Tomás Rangel for the work of the
ministry. May the Lord add His blessings to this church.
And lastly, we want to thank the Lord for the opportunity of preaching in the open
air on the days of the Easter week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Although no one
came forward, everyone definitely heard. On Saturday evening, I was interrupted by a
man who told me that I should only preach the “pretty” parts of the Bible. At least this
showed me that he was listening. The fight is hard in the days we are living in, but it
doesn’t give us an excuse to stop preaching. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of
all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am
chief.” I Timothy 1:15.

We praise the Lord for your faithfulness and constant support through your prayers
and offerings. May the Lord greatly bless you.

In Christ,
Lohen & Becky González
